Christmas Jammies

The boys wanted to wear their new Christmas jammies, so after baths at Grandmom and Granddad's house on Thanksgiving I let them wear them for the first time. Our camera is broken, so THANK YOU Auntie for taking these awesome pictures of our boys!!

We're Here!

We are finally here. We could hardly slow Josiah down as he scurried through the parking lot calling, "Hurry up mama and papa!" In the meantime, my tummy is about to erupt from nervousness. Why are we putting our child through this? He looks perfect in our eyes! Why can't the world accept him just as he is now?

We're doing this because we love you so much Josiah and we want to improve your quality of life!

Finally! August 24th - Josiah's Surgery

Today is the big day!! Mama came to stay with Alexander and Zechariah while we headed off to Chapel Hill for Josiah's first surgery. There are no words to describe how excited this child is to have surgery?? He is very anxious to "fix his eye" and he has been asking "when I go to doctor mama?" Although we try to explain to him this is the beginning of a very long process, he is READY to get started!

Last night we had to wash with antibacterial soap from chin down and once again this morning. We had to get "super duper clean". Josiah was so good at following directions in preparation for his surgery. I was worried that he could not have anything to eat after midnight and unsure of actual surgery time. He could have sips of juice until 7:30 am. Once again, my little Asian angel amazed me and didn't complain at all about his tummy. This comes from a little boy who calls for food as soon as his feet hit the floor in the morning.

Auntie Lydia and Uncle Ben came yesterday to hook Josiah up with all he needed for surgery an recovery:) He received the cutest Chapel Hill scrubs, Carolina Ram, and a backpack full of fun stuff to do while recovering.

Grateful for School Supplies

My husband works with some amazing folks! We are constantly reminded of how blessed we are by our friends! A totally unexpected gift was given to us and off we went to Walmart with our long list for 2nd, 1st, and Kindergarten school supplies. Pencil boxes, crayons, markers, dry erase markers, glue, pencils, tissues, disinfectant wipes, scissors, folders....

...Thank you!!!

You are My Sunflower Sunshine

How's that Zech? Recently, Zech does not like for me to call him nicknames (Sweetie, Sweet Pea, Pumpkin, Sweetie Pie, Peanut .... he does NOT want to be called anything but Zech).

So, I wonder if Sunshine will work? Zech (with a little help from his brothers and me) planted a sunflower garden and here are the results:) Usually, Zech frowns when I try to interrupt him to take his picture, but he didn't hesitate when I asked for a picture in front of "his" sunflowers.

July Fourth

This year was much more laid back than last year's trip to Southport. We had a great weekend , cooking out, going to the beach, swimming in Auntie's pool, and just hanging out together.
